Practical advice and a clear next step.
A visit to your garden to explore what’s working, what you’d like to change and how you want to use the space.
- Preparation using your photographs and a short questionnaire.
- A garden visit of up to 90 minutes.
- Practical discussion of layout, privacy, materials and planting direction.
- A concise written summary of the main recommendations and next steps.
Local travel is included within the agreed service area. Any additional travel costs will be confirmed before booking.
The consultation does not include measuring, drawings, plant lists, technical specifications or 3D visuals.
Payment is due in advance. If you commission a design package within three months and the consultation forms the initial briefing visit, the £180 is credited towards your design fee.
Concept design
From £2,000
A clear vision for your garden, brought to life through a plan, mood board and 3D views.
- Site visit and agreed design brief.
- Straightforward measuring and a base plan where suitable.
- Development of one garden concept.
- A scaled concept plan.
- A mood board showing materials and planting character.
- Two finished 3D visualisations.
- Design presentation and one combined round of revisions within the agreed brief.
- A final PDF presentation.
The final plan and two visualisations reflect the agreed revisions. Additional finished views can be arranged at an agreed extra cost.
Planting plans and technical construction drawings are available through the full garden design service. A new design direction or changes to the agreed brief are quoted separately.
Full garden design
From £3,800 total
Develop your concept into a coordinated package of plans for your chosen landscaper.
Includes everything in concept design, plus:
- A developed master plan.
- Material selections.
- A planting plan and plant schedule.
- Setting-out and paving layouts.
- Construction drawings for the agreed garden features.
- Supporting SketchUp views where useful to explain the design.
- One combined feedback round on planting, materials and construction details.
- A final design package and handover discussion.
Your proposal lists the drawings included. Changes to the approved overall layout are quoted separately.
Specialist surveys, engineering or specialist drainage design, where required, are separately scoped and priced. Construction, materials and plants are not included in the design fee. Additional site visits and support during construction can be arranged separately.
A few useful details.
What do the starting prices cover?
Starting prices apply to straightforward gardens up to approximately 100 m², with uncomplicated levels and measuring. Your final fee reflects the size, complexity and agreed scope of your project.
The full garden design starting price includes the concept stage. If you continue after concept design, the work already paid for forms part of your total design fee.
Will I need a survey?
Straightforward measuring is included where suitable. If a specialist measured or topographical survey is needed, we’ll discuss the requirement and cost before it is arranged.
How are payments arranged?
Design fees are paid in stages, with an initial payment to book your project. Your proposal confirms the scope, payment schedule and estimated programme before work begins.
How long will the design take?
Your proposal will confirm the estimated programme for your garden. Timing depends on the agreed scope, survey requirements and feedback at each stage.
